WELCOME

Wildlife Photographers Australia original website was set up for a group of Australia’s foremost wildlife photographers. They were Tim Newbery, Ray Channells, Jenni Horsnell, Jimmy Thompson and John Cooper.

The original aim was to set up a forum where keen wildlife photographers could not only display their work but help other wildlife photographers improve their photography and also learn from their experiences with nature subjects.

Today, still true to its original aims, Wildlife Photographers Australia has evolved into a group of photographers who regularly go on field trips and meet together. The field trips provide the opportunity to find suitable subjects to photograph and are particularly valuable for those people new to Adelaide or wildlife photography. The meetings allow for discussion of topics of interest and feedback on photographs.

This website shows a sample of the work of participants. We hope you find them as interesting as we do.

We ask that you note our use of an international definition of nature photography and that you will agree with our Code of Ethics.
