Jenni Horsnell

My nature photography started out in the world of macro and close-up images, photographing insects, fungi and native orchids. To capture and view such small details which the naked eye just doesn’t see, is truly amazing albeit often frustrating. Over the last few years, bird photography has started to play a primary role in the type of images I wanted to capture. Watching a given species for hours on end invariably gives an insight into that subject’s behaviour and enables some of the most unique and rewarding images to be captured. Most days I will spend several hours after sunrise searching for both types of subjects depending on the season and weather…..there is always something to photograph.
